‘Married To Medicine’ Star Toya Bush-Harris Calls Out Castmate Sweet Tea, Denies Encouraging Feud w/ Quad Webb
Toya Bush-Harris is not here for Sweet Tea’s accusations.
After Sweet Tea claimed that Toya Bush-Harris encouraged her to feud with Quad Webb on Married To Medicine, Toya Bush-Harris took to her IG story to set the record straight:
“Please don’t lie on me! I rebuke your kind of crazy. These sob stories are a lot for all of us. Baby girl, just distance yourself if everyone is so horrible to you.”
Sweet Tea, who is married to Quad Webb’s ex-husband Dr. GregoryLunceford, previously alleged that Toya Bush-Harris played a role in pushing her into drama: “
When I came into it, I even felt like Toya… she wanted me to go to war with Gregory’s ex when I didn’t know her. It’s strange having these people try to get me on the show and then all of a sudden invite me on to bully me.”

Sweet Tea’s time on Married 2 Med hasn’t been easy.
The last couple of seasons of “Married to Medicine” have been very controversial due to Phaedra Parks, Lateasha “Sweet Tea” Lunceford, and Dr. Gregory Lunceford joining the cast. Some fans feel like all three are being targeted for storyline reasons. Phaedra received a lot of flak from the group while helping Dr. Jackie Walters plan the Med Gala.
Phaedra departed the show after Dr. Heavenly Kimes invited Apollo Nida and his wife to the couples’ trip. Interestingly enough, Phaedra and Apollo’s tension wasn’t the only source of drama. Quad Webb clashed with Sweet Tea and Greg while drunk. This happened while the group played a game that required the couples to answer intimate questions.
On the upcoming episode, the exchange between the exes will lead to Gregory and Quad’s boyfriend King getting into an altercation. It has since been confirmed that Gregory pressed charges against King.
Fans who have been keeping up with Sweet Tea’s debut on the show know it’s been a messy journey for her. On YouTube, Heavenly admitted to asking Sweet Tea to do the show for shady reasons. She told her followers she wanted Sweet Tea on the platform for laughs and so Quad could “read” her. On other occasions, Heavenly said she wanted Tea there to give Quad a storyline. She said Sweet Tea saved Quad’s job.
The friendships Sweet Tea thought she formed before the show have fizzled out.
Jackie also talked Sweet Tea into joining the cast. She now no longer likes Sweet Tea. During her latest “Watch What Happens Live” appearance, Jackie said Sweet Tea needed to “apologize” for her “existence.”
Toya Bush-Harris and Dr. Simone Whitmore also aren’t in a good space with Sweet Tea, despite wanting her on the show originally. During Sweet Tea’s YouTube reviews, she expressed frustration with Toya and Simone. In her opinion, both have downplayed Heavenly’s actions too much despite their past conflicts with Heavenly. And she thinks this is strange.
Then there is Quad. Before Tea and Gregory joined the cast, it seemed like there was no bad blood. Quad even congratulated Greg and Tea on their engagement on Instagram. So Sweet Tea was taken aback by Quad mocking how she speaks and throwing shade on IG Live and interviews.
As it stands, Sweet Tea is only on good terms with Phaedra and Dr. Contessa Metcalfe. Contessa and Phaedra have expressed similar sentiments about Heavenly. They believe the ladies enable Heavenly because she does their dirty work.
Toya Bush-Harris is done with Sweet Tea.
Sweet Tea’s latest YouTube video has been making rounds online. In the video, she said the way she’s being treated is bizarre. At this point, it just feels like bullying.
“Like Toya, she really wanted me to go to war with Gregory’s ex when I didn’t know her. She wanted me to go to war with Gregory’s ex when I didn’t know her. I was like I don’t understand why ‘cause I don’t know her. Why would I be upset? There’s no reason to be upset and there’s no beef. It’s just strange having these people try to get me on the show and come together, and hey, open the door with open arms to welcome me, and all of a sudden just flip a switch randomly…just to invite me on to bully me,” Sweet Tea said.
She added, “I feel like I was just a pity to them. I was just a dollar sign.”
Sweet Tea feels completely used by the people she and Gregory were hanging out with before joining “Married to Medicine.”
She said, “It’s very disappointing because these are people that I’ve had at my house. I’ve never seen so many desperate people with jobs, with jobs, careers, professions like being doctors that desperate for a storyline.”
At this point, Sweet Tea wasn’t even certain she would attend the reunion.
“So everybody wants to ask if I’m going to the reunion…I really don’t know. I mean I still gotta talk it over with Gregory on how we’re going to show up, if we’re gonna show up.”
Toya clapped back on Instagram Story. She wrote, “Please don’t lie on me!!! I rebuke your kind of crazy…these sob stories are A LOT for all of us. #married2med @therealsweet_tea Baby Girl…Just distance yourself if everyone is so horrible to you…✋ #itried.”
The reunion is being filmed today.
“Married to Medicine” is having a casting issue.
Sweet Tea isn’t the only person who expressed these sentiments about being on “Married to Medicine.”
Audra Curry was on the show for one season. Fans probably remember the altercation she had with Toya. When Audra discussed not being asked back, she said it seemed like new cast members are always set up to fail on “Married to Medicine.” She felt this was especially true for younger women.
She said, “But if you wanna know how I really feel about the show, I feel like it is their show, like the OGs, I feel like it is their show. And I feel like when they bring in new people, they bring in new people because they want it to be a younger show. That’s what they’ve always said, we want it to be younger.
We wanna show the beginning of medicine because my husband had just graduated, like just graduated residency. So we wanna show the progression of how it is instead of towards the end when you already own 40 practices and you’re about to retire…but then they don’t really create an environment for that to flourish.”
Quad discussed how the cast will ice someone out of the group after she was the target during the previous season. She told Carlos King that the situation made her understand how Mariah Huq must have felt when she was iced out of the show she created.
