The Real Housewives of Potomac is moving forward with season 10 filming—without Karen Huger.
Following Karen’s one-year prison sentence for her March 2024 DUI crash, speculation has been swirling about whether the 61-year-old reality star will return to Bravo or if this marks the end of her run.
According to PEOPLE, Karen could still appear in season 10—but only if her sentence is reduced on appeal.
While her future on the show remains uncertain, one thing is clear: her name will still be a major topic of conversation among the cast.
Even if Karen doesn’t physically return, her legal troubles have already become a defining moment for RHOP.
Wendy Osefo, 40, shared her thoughts in an interview, making it clear that while Karen’s absence is felt, the show will go on. “I always wish her well, and I’m just keeping her in prayer,” Wendy said.
When asked about RHOP’s future without Karen, Wendy remained optimistic. “With this group, we have found a way to navigate with her presence and without her presence,” she explained.
“Looking at the reunion, I think that we maneuvered in a positive way as a collective, as a unit. I wish her the best, but I think the Potomac brand is still strong.”
Weeks before her sentencing, Karen skipped the season nine reunion, checking herself into a rehab program instead. However, she left behind a pre-recorded video addressing her struggles with antidepressants and alcohol.
“I’m not an alcoholic, let’s be clear,” Karen insisted in the clip, maintaining that she was simply taking steps to “get to the bottom” of her struggles.
Karen also acknowledged the impact of her actions on her family and young fans, emphasizing her desire to take full responsibility.
She concluded by stating her intention to return as herself, saying, “I plan to be coming back as Karen Huger only, because Karen is enough.”
Despite Karen’s legal situation, RHOP is set to begin filming season 10 at the end of this month. Whether Karen will return, make a mid-season appearance, or remain a headline without ever stepping in front of the cameras is still up in the air.
One thing is for sure: her name isn’t leaving Potomac conversations anytime soon.
