Tennis star Serena Williams has taken to padel recently like a lot of high-profile people across disciplines and a few days back, she shared her experience of picking up the racquet for the first time. She admitted that the session left her tired and angry, as she still tries to pick up the details of the game, which is similar to tennis but is played in an enclosed and smaller area.

In the September 2022 issue of Vogue, Williams announced her plans to ‘evolve away’ from tennis after the 2022 US Open, indicating retirement. She lost in the third round of the tournament that year and bid goodbye to tennis.

Williams has revealed that her frustration while playing Padel led her to smash a ball against the arena fence after losing the set. She didn’t mention whom she was playing against.

“Alright! Just like that I finished, basically my first time playing Padel. It was fun and I won three sets and lost one set,” Williams said in an Instagram video.

“Socks ✅ Ankle ✅ Outfit ✅ … on point. Padel? Ok … issa vibe,” Williams captioned the post.

Not just the tennis star, but even football stars like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Spanish actor Antonio Banderas and former Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy have been seen playing padel.

The tennis star is very active on social media and keeps updating her fans with her day-to-day activities with her husband and two daughters. Williams is the most successful women’s tennis star ever.
