Following a first-round bye, the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Houston Texans in the AFC divisional round on Jan. 18.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is pumped for their postseason to kick off on Saturday. “Playoff football is the most meaningful football that you’ll ever play in your life,” Kelce said in video shared by the Chiefs.
“I cherish every single play, man I really do. When you’re in it, you’re always trying to strive for greatness, being greater than what you are.”
During an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” earlier this week, Kelce confirmed this his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, will return to Arrowhead Stadium for the Texans-Chiefs showdown. “Oh yeah, you know it, baby,” Kelce said. “It’s playoff football, man.”
While fans can’t wait to see the pop star cheering for the Chiefs on Saturday afternoon, Swift spent the evening before the game in New York City.
Photos emerged on social media of the 35-year-old stepping out for dinner at Nobu with her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift, and Ashley Avignone, a close friend of the singer.
She rocked her signature red lip with Chanel earrings and an all-back outfit on Friday, Jan 17.
One fan commented, “FIRST LOOK OF 25’.” A Swiftie wrote, “SHES GORGEOUS.” An Eagle-eyed fan added, “EVERYTHING BLACK??? DOWN TO THE NAILS.”
Fans also loved Swift’s Jimmy Choo purse. She appeared to be wearing a Gemstone Button Cropped Peacoat ($1,895) from Area with a matching skirt.
A flight from New York City to Kansas City is approximately 3.5 hours, leaving Swift plenty of to jet off in the morning, as the Texans-Chiefs game kicks off at 4:30 p.m. EST. Many fans guessed that her parents and Ashley will join her in Kansas City for the playoff game.
Swift has kept a low profile since quietly ringing the new year with Kelce in Kansas City. The 10-time Pro Bowler, however, is thrilled she’ll be supporting him at Saturday’s playoff game.
“She loves coming to Arrowhead and coming to the games and cheering for me so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams,” Kelce told ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith earlier this week.
“That’s the beauty of being in a very strong relationship is that you get that support to be able to come in and focus on your craft. Focus on being the best version of you.”
