Wendy Osefo Keeping Karen Huger In “Prayer” Amid Jail Sentence.

Wendy Osefo shared her reaction to the two-year prison sentence of her The Real Housewives of Potomac castmate Karen Huger.

The reality star shared she will keep Huger in “prayer” while speaking to PEOPLE Magazine on Thursday (Feb. 27) at ESSENCE’s annual Black Women In Hollywood celebration.

“My jaw dropped!” exclaimed the 40-year-old of her reaction after hearing the news.

“I couldn’t believe it. At the end of the day, we may have our differences, but I always wish her well, and I’m just keeping her in prayer, 100%.”

She continued, “With this group, we have found a way to navigate with her presence and without her presence,” adding, “I definitely wish her well.”

Huger was accused of failure to control her vehicle’s speed on the highway to avoid a collision, driving a vehicle in excess of reasonable and prudent speed on the highway, driving a vehicle on the highway with suspended registration, and failure to notify administration of change of address within 30 days after a March 2024 incident.

She was charged with a DUI and DWI, negligently driving a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, endangering property, life, and person, as well as recklessly driving a vehicle in wanton and willful disregard for the safety of persons and property.

She was found guilty in December 2024 of all charges except reckless driving.

On Wednesday, she was officially sentenced to two years behind bars, with one year suspended.

The 61-year-old’s attorney, David Martella, shared that his client is “shocked with embarrassment” and confirmed that she has completed her 28-day treatment program and is actively involved in Alcoholics Anonymous.
