And when it comes to setting the standard right, Serena Williams’ businessman husband Alexis Ohanian has proven that nothing is more important in his life than being a father to Olympia and Adira.

While his pancakes are globally popular, the Reddit co-founder isn’t stopping from impressing his daughters even more. So, what did he do this time?

If not for Reddit and his advocacy for women’s sports, Ohanian would have been surely famous for his Papa Pancakes tradition. Although the tradition showcases his pancake-making skills for his daughters, the tech guy once confessed how it is a testament to his intense love for Olympia.

Last December, Ohanian revealed he bought a commercial-grade crepe maker from a French Grandma after his elder daughter showed interest in the dish.

Reflecting on how Olympia’s wishes could make him “fanatical,” he said, “the fact that she showed any interest in my pancake art meant I need to be the best pancake artist I can. Oh, my baby likes crepes, those are just skinny pancakes. Papa can make those too.” 

Ohanian’s words echoed his dedication to fatherhood and compelled him to think, “If she shows an interest, I am becoming the expert.”

Since Olympia’s interest finally shifted from pancakes to crepes, her doting father took a new challenge, becoming an equally skilled crepe maker.

Now, Olympia’s baby sister Adira has also joined their bandwagon. Recently, he tweeted a photo of his creation with an adorable caption, “Crêpes breakfast for the girls.” 

The Reddit co-founder’s photo also showcased his fancy crepe-maker in the backdrop with a perfectly made folded crepe on a plate in the front.

He also shared a detailed photo of his machine with a quick pro tip, “I switch between a copper crepe pan for the stove or this (my favorite).” Ohanian’s comments highlighted his commitment to bringing a smile to his elder daughter’s face.

While crepes were Ohanian’s latest hobby, his social media followers couldn’t get enough of his pancake skills.

One of his followers asked him to make a Chicago Commanders’ logo pancake for good luck and guess what?

Recently, Ohanian revealed that his pancakes might look great, but they aren’t as tasty as they appear. He explained that the pancakes’ consistency impacts the taste.

Given Ohanian creates various creative shapes and sizes, his pancakes can’t be too fluffy. “Because as they expand, they start to distort the image. So basically, the pancake batter that I make doesn’t taste great. It tastes fine, but Olympia doesn’t know any better. She just thinks that’s what pancakes look and taste like,” he added.

Ohanian added that his elder daughter enjoyed a professionally baked pancake in an LA restaurant (Griddle Cafe).

Although she loved the taste, she missed her father’s creative designs. Ohanian’s statement highlighted how pancakes are no longer just a breakfast dish, but a tradition about father-daughter bonding.
